Employers can fire you for what you say, write or publish. Employers can deny you a job for no other reason than an expressed opinion or point of view--even when you are the most qualified candidate. The NSA and the TSA can detain, investigate and harrass you "without a legally justified warrant" based on saying the "wrong" thing at the "wrong time". An individual police officer can detain and bully you based on the way you look and sound to him, with no law broken. Facebook and it's subsidiaries can block, ban and delete you from social networking unless every word and expression that comes out of you complies with their "corporate" standards of morality and decency. Political bodies across the nation can deny you housing, education, healthcare, marriage, family and social services based on how you identify yourself. Private business are authorized by law in most American States to deny you products and services based on how you identify yourself.
So. Here's the question. Who in this nation of absolute free speech clearly defined and "protected" by the United States Constitution is actually able to practice free speech other than fundamentalist Christian religious extremists?
