GAYS: NOT JUST SINNERS, BUT ORGANIZED SINNERS

It's not that homosexuals are sinners, it's that they're organized sinners.  According to some Baptists the thing that makes homosexuals different from other sinners is their habit of moving in herds, flocks and packs.

Perhaps for the first time in Christian history, a group of Christians wants to ban sinners from churches.  Delegates gathering this week for the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina are poised to approve an official policy that would ban and end funding to churches that knowingly allow homosexuals to attend services.

The new guidelines will bar openly gay church-goers from being baptized, accepted for membership, ordained or hired on staff.  Policing this will be simple.  If two Baptists file a complaint, the church in question will be kicked out of the Baptist Convention.

When asked about other sinners like adulterers, liars and the divorced, church elders pointed out that "there is no other sin that has a national advocacy group where people march and try to change laws and cultural mores to gain approval for itself."  The sin of homosexuality "is creeping its way into acceptability by virtue of this group's advocacy, and it is time for us to take a stand."

I've recently come to the conclusion that American Christianity is God's way of testing the patience, pacifism and generosity of rational human beings.  I for one am coming precipitously close to snapping--especially when it comes to the Baptist leadership.

These people are seriously delusional and increasingly dangerous. They are crawling out of the cesspools here in Mass because of the vote (or lack of one) on SSM at the constitutional convention last week. These deranged lunatics are relentless and I for one have pretty much lost whatever patience and tolerance I may have had left. I am done trying to be civil and act rationally with a bunch of extremist cowards who spew their intolerance and bigotry while wrapped up in their ‘Jesus blankets’. Hate the sin, love the sinner. What a total crock of shit that is. They are such friggin’ cowards that they can’t even admit that there are homophobic bigots. They might as well be wearing sheets over their heads. If a fight is want they want a fight is what they are going to get.
